Young Chess Enthusiasts from the Amulsar Surrounding Communities Celebrated June 1 in Jermuk Around the Chessboard<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the international chess tournament \u201cStepan Avagyan Memorial Tournament: Jermuk 2026\u201d, currently taking place in Jermuk, Lydian Armenia, with the support of its partners, Jermuk Ashkharh Health Resort Center and the Chess Academy of Armenia, organized the \u201cLydian Armenia Chess Cup\u201d tournament on June 1 for children from the Amulsar surrounding communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forty children from Gorayk, Saravan, Vayk, Gndevaz, Kechut, and Jermuk tested their skills in a series of chess matches. During the opening ceremony, international grandmaster Aram Hakobyan greeted the participants and wished them success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the top performers with medals and gifts. International grandmaster Shant Sargsyan personally presented the awards, inspiring the young participants and encouraging them to pursue their passion for chess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cLydian Armenia Chess Cup\u201d was not only an exciting competitive event but also a wonderful celebration for children, bringing together young chess enthusiasts from different communities and giving them the opportunity to mark their special day in an educational and enriching environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hayk Aloyan, Managing Director of Lydian Armenia, recently welcomed Davit Stepanyan and Davit Avagyan, athletes from Jermuk\u2019s \u201cHay Martik\u201d Sports Club, together with their coach, Mushegh Hovsepyan, to congratulate them on their outstanding performance at the K-1 World Open Championship held in Greece in May. The young athletes returned home with two gold medals, bringing pride to Armenia and demonstrating the strength of the country\u2019s emerging sporting talent on the international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its commitment to promoting sports, healthy lifestyles, and youth development in the Amulsar surrounding communities, Lydian Armenia funded the Jermuk delegation\u2019s participation in the championship. The company\u2019s support enabled the athletes to represent Armenia with distinction, compete against some of the world\u2019s top K-1 competitors, and gain valuable international experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Hayk Aloyan and the guests discussed opportunities for future cooperation and the continued development of young athletes in the region. He reaffirmed Lydian Armenia\u2019s commitment to supporting promising sports talents and helping create opportunities for them to reach their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hayk Aloyan wished the young champions continued success and expressed confidence that their dedication, discipline, and perseverance would lead to many more achievements, inspiring the next generation of athletes and bringing further recognition to Armenia on the international sporting stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
